Privacy Policy

Short version: I collect the minimum needed to run a useful session, I do not sell anything to anyone, and you can ask me to delete your information at any time.

What I collect

When you book, the intake form asks for your child’s first name and current grade, your borough or neighborhood, schools you are curious about, your biggest concern about the process, how you heard about Next Stop: High School, and anything else you choose to share. Booking also collects your name, email address, and payment information.

For the child receiving services, I ask for a first name or initials only. Please do not submit your child’s last name, student ID, IEP documents, evaluations, or other confidential records unless I have specifically requested them.

The intake form also asks for the current schools attended by the child and their siblings, solely for professional-conflict screening. I am not permitted to work with students from my own school or their siblings, and this is how I check.

How I use it

To prepare for and deliver your session, to send confirmations and reminders, to send your post-session recap, and to answer your questions. That is the entire list.

What I do not do

I do not sell, rent, or trade your information. I do not share it with schools, NYCPS, or any other family. I do not use it for advertising.

Service providers

Running this practice requires a few tools, and your information passes through them: Acuity Scheduling (booking, intake forms, and payment processing), Zoom (video sessions), and Google Workspace (email). Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data. Payment card details are handled by the payment processor and are never stored by me.

How long I keep it

Intake forms and session notes are kept while we are working together and for a reasonable period afterward in case you return. Email you send me stays in my inbox unless you ask me to delete it.

Your choices

Email hello@nextstophighschool.com at any time to ask what I have, to correct it, or to have it deleted. I will confirm when it is done.

Children

This site and these services are intended for parents and guardians, not for children. Information about a student is collected from the adult booking the session.

Changes

If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above changes with it.
