The educator’s lens
A tour shows you a carefully prepared version of a school. Somebody should tell you what else to look for.
Anyone can pull up program descriptions, admissions criteria, and prior-year demand data. Building the list is the easy half. The harder half is reading it: how a program is structured, whether the workload matches the promise, and what questions reveal how student supports actually work in practice. That’s the part nobody tells you, and it’s the part your kid lives in for four years.
